Comfrey contains pyrrolizidine alkaloids, which may cause serious illness or death. This product should not be taken orally, used as a suppository, or applied to broken skin. Dr. Christopher taught and believed that herbs should be used in their entirety. He believed that the body is able to deal with small amounts of toxins in the herbs when the whole herb is used.
